The purpose of our daily Guided Tour Valencia Art Nouveau is to show you the part of Valencia which is probably less visited by the main stream touristic groups. We are going to walk and enjoy the modernist part of the Historical Center of Valencia and its famous bourgeois Ensanche Quarter.
Let start with the City Hall Square and the buildings located here. These are: the City Hall, the Main Post Office, Noguera, Generali, Ateneo Mercantil and other different modernist buildings. Let learn the history of Valencia City Hall Square which is going very in depth of the ancient times. Let see several architectural designs that this modern square already changed few times in XX Century.
Then we will continue our walk to the North Railways Station and the Bull Ring. Here we are going to meet several styles and techniques of the famous Valencian ceramic inside of the Railways Station hall. These are: trencadis, mosaic, relief, geometric, underglaze and overglaze ceramic, etc.
After that we will walk through the modernist streets and crossroads of the famous bourgeois Ensanche Quarter. Here we are going to enjoy many buildings with kaleidoscopic facades of different architectural and decorative variants. Finally, we will finish our guided tour at the Columbus Market, an authentic jewel of Valencian Art Nouveau architecture.
